Pacman is Hero

Some people said that Marquez should be the winner because of his aggressive fight while others said that Paquiao is the winner because of the scorecards. HBO Boxing commented on twitter saying "Marquez looked great and brought more aggression. Though it's also fair to say that Pacquiao's defense stood up, and he was more accurate". This means that a boxer can be aggressive but without accuracy he will not win the fight.

Looking at the statistics, one ringside judge scored 114-114 draw, while the two others favored Pacquiao scoring him 115-113 and 116-112. Moreover, ringside stats showed Paquiao landed 176 of 578 punches while Marquez landed 138 of 436. Looking at the power punches, Paquiao connected 117 punches while Marquez connected 100. After watching the replay of the fight at GMA7, with rounds 1, 3, 4, 6, 9, 10, 11, 12 in favor of Paquiao, it is safe say that Paquiao is the winner.

With eight championship belts, whatever the results of his fight, Manny Paquiao will always be the Filipino Peoples Champion. Because of him Filipinos earned the respect of the world. Even an economist will agree that he is a hero.
