The Worlds Biggest Solar Powered Mall is in the Philippines

In an article written by Inquirer, it was reported that SM, the biggest mall in the Philippines, will be powering its EDSA north branch using solar power. This will be the biggest solar powered mall in the world, with 1.5 megawatt (MW) solar facility, the Inquirer report indicated.

According to the solar developer, Solar Philippines, the solar facility will be operating for 25 years, which is estimated to reduce carbon dioxide emission by 40,000 tons. The solar facility will be inaugurated on Nov 24 according to the report of Inquirer.

With the current trend, the future of energy in the Philippines looks bright.
