Definition: Commodity Terms of Trade

Commodity Terms of Trade - "the price index of exports divided by the price index of imports. For example, if export prices increase 10 percent and import prices 22 percent, the terms of trade would drop 10 percent, as 1.10/1.22 = 0.90." - source: Economic Development 4th Edition by E.
